The weddings I photograph
A city hall morning. A small garden with the people you love most. A forest path with no one else at all.
I photograph weddings and elopements in a timeless, editorial style: real emotion, the small moments, and portraits that will still feel like you years from now. I take on a small number each year, so each one has my full attention, from our first call to the last photograph in your gallery.
On the day, I guide you through the portraits, so you never have to wonder what to do, and I am right there with you for everything else. I love the in-between moments, and I will probably cry with you at the vows.

- Coverage that follows the day
- An elopement is usually a few hours: getting ready, the vows, portraits on a walk afterwards. For a wedding I stay from the getting ready to the toasts, so the whole story is there.
- Help with your timeline
- Once we’ve booked, I help you shape the day around the light: when to schedule portraits, how much time a city hall needs, where a ten-minute walk will be worth it.
- Guided, and still natural
- I direct most of the portraits, gently: where to stand, where the light is, what to do with your hands. Then I adapt to the two of you, so the photographs feel like you, not like a pose.
- A private online gallery
- Your edited photographs arrive in a private online gallery, ready to download and share with the people who were there, and the ones who weren’t.

Every day is a little different, so after we talk I send a proposal shaped around yours. A retainer reserves your date.

How it works
From hello to your gallery

You write to me
Your date, roughly where, and a few lines about the two of you. I reply within one business day.

A call
We talk through the day you have in mind, and I send a proposal shaped around it.

A retainer reserves your date
A retainer holds the date for you alone and is credited toward your collection. From then on, the day is in my calendar.

Planning together
A timeline built around the light, the shot list that matters to you, and the people I should know by name.

I am with you from the first moments to the last, capturing the emotions and the small details as they happen.

Your edited photographs in a private online gallery, ready to download and share.
Do you travel?
Yes. I’m based in Vancouver and happy to go wherever your day is, from a city hall downtown to a forest a ferry ride away. If your day is further afield, we’ll talk about travel when I send your proposal.
Do you bring a second photographer?
For most elopements and small weddings it is just me, which keeps things calm. For a larger guest list I can bring a second photographer I trust, and I’ll tell you honestly whether you need one.
Can you help us plan the timeline?
Always. I’ll suggest when to schedule portraits for the best light, how long each part of the day really takes, and where a short walk will give you the photographs you will love most.
When will we see our photographs?
Your full gallery arrives within six to eight weeks, edited and ready to download in a private online gallery.
Do you photograph city hall ceremonies?
Yes, and I love them. A city hall morning followed by a long lunch and a walk is one of my favourite ways to spend a wedding day.
